I spent 2 weeks in Mauritania and had a wonderful time. People were friendly and it was very safe. I had lessons with Mauritania men and women national team and also with juniors and coaches. I played a simul on my last day. Unfortunately, lot of kids where on holiday at countryside so I couldnt have many lessons with kids. Nonetheless, I left chess sets, books and demo boards at the federation and they will start chess in school from September which is great news. I would like to thank the president Sidi Mohamed Tajedine for all the help with visas and customs and also the main coach Hassan Sidi Mohamed for accompanying me and making my life in Mauritania so much easier. There are lot of passionate chess players in Mauritania, I wish you guys all the best, I hope that materials will help you and I will be watching your progress:)
